League City, Texas Weather

The weather instrument finally died for good during Hurricane Ike and has been taken down. Hopefully another will be put up in its place some day. Until then, here is a description of the instrument that was.

This site contains local weather information for League City, Texas as measured with an amateur weather station. The station is located in a backyard in the Meadowbend subdivision. Temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, wind direction and rainfall are measured using a modified Lacrosse "The Weather Channel" WS-2310 weather station. Data from the station is collected using a Linksys NSLU2 network attached device running Linux.
